So now you've decided what Cast Iron Radiator you want, it's time to delve into the world of accessories. Accessories allow you to elevate the aesthetic of your radiator. Whether you want them to blend in with other finishings in you room or stand out, we've got the range to suit any space. All of our accessories come in a wide range of finishes including chrome, brass, pewter and much more.
But what exactly do you need to get for your new Cast Iron Radiator? This guide will break down the different accessories needed for a Cast Iron Radiator, ensuring you know everything about the final touches to your Cast Iron Radiator.
1. Wall Stays
Wall stays are used to secure your cast iron radiator to the wall. As cast iron is so heavy, accidentally leaning on it can cause it to fall and cause serious damage. We reccomend using 1 wall stay for every 10 sections of radiator. We also recommend using 2 if your radiator has an odd number of sections to ensure symmetry is kept. They are available in 2 styles; Luxury (with or without shield) and Basic Steel.
Available in Chrome, Brushed Nickel, Black Nickel, Pewter, Copper, Brass & more ... (see our full range)
2. Pipe Shrouds
Pipe shrouds, also known as pipe covers or pipe sleeves, are used to cover standard copper piping. We supply two lengths: 130mm and 300mm both including the pipe collars. They can be cut down to your required length to fit over 15mm, 10mm & 8mm pipework. Find out more information about pipe shrouds here.
Available in Chrome, Brushed Nickel, Black Nickel, Pewter, Copper, Brass & more ... (see our full range)
3. Bleed Valves
Bleed valves (or air vents) are used to bleed any excess air from the cast iron radiator which might have been taken in during installation.
Available in Chrome, Brushed Nickel, Black Nickel, Pewter, Copper, Brass & more ... (see our full range)
4. Decorative End Caps
Decorative End Caps add a little extra sparkle to your new radiator, making it that extra bit custom to you. All of the radiators we supply come with plain caps as standard but decorative end caps can be added to finish off your radiator. They will be painted/polished to match the finish of your radiator.
5. Central Heating Protector
Fernox F1 Central Heating Protector gives long-term protection of domestic central heating systems against internal corrosion and limescale formation. It is also required by the manufacturers warranties whenever a new radiator is added to a system.
